It all begins with rebar....

I still find it's the best stuff to work with
when you're building a frame.

For this project, I decided to get creative with the planning.
I found some studio light rigging and used them to find the right angle for my legs.

Once they were in place, I propped them up on my armature...

...and clamped them into place

Once all the legs were secured together,
I could just remove the support and voila!

Dancing mantis legs!!!

Well, almost.
